Green River Fishing Report 2/27/21 We have some warm weather in the near future which should make for some good days on the water. Average daily flows have dropped a bit. Dry flies: Mainly still midge until our water temps come up some, though there are a few BWOs around. This warm weather should make thing interesting. Nymphing: Nymphing has been good. Starting to see some hatches
Green River Fishing Report 2/22/21 With the low water temps fish are congrating in deeper runs near faster riffles. We are starting to see some decent midge hatches and even some BWO’s. Dry flies: We have been able to fish some OK midge hatches and even had a few BWO eats. Cover some water to find where the bugs are coming off and where the fish are keyed into them. Winter fishing at it’s best
Green River Fishing Report 2/9/21 Winter flows are here, it will be low and slow, with evening bumps for power and water needs. Streamer fishing is still amazing and you can have some very good days nymphing right now. The midge and BWO hatch is still slow but you can still have some fun throwing smaller dries. Green River Fishing Report 1/14/21 Winter flows are here, it will be low and slow, with evening bumps for power and water needs. Nymphing and streamers are the way to go, but you could make a day out of throwing dries – with some patience. Dry flies: There are a few midge and blue wings coming off in select areas on some days. Dry’s are still slow right now but can pick you up some fish if you put in the time. Nymphing: Nymphing is hot right now. Scuds, worms, small mayfly’s, and midge nymphs. Green River Fishing Report 12/18/20 Flows will remain 900ish for the foreseeable future with bumps for power generation in the evenings up to 2000. Temps are lower 40’s See the chart below for more info. Dry flies: Mainly midge and a few fall baetis still coming off. Dry’s are slow right now. Nymphing: Nymphing is hot right now. Scuds, worms, small mayfly’s, and caddis nymphs. Streamers: We are getting into prime time streamer season. Look for a cloudy day and go sling some meat!
