Warm weather window

Green River Fishing Report 2/27/21

We have some warm weather in the near future which should make for some good days on the water. Average daily flows have dropped a bit.

Dry flies:

Mainly still midge until our water temps come up some, though there are a few BWOs around. This warm weather should make thing interesting.

Nymphing has been good. Find some water a bit of movement to it in the 2 to 5′ depth range. Midge and BWO are working best, Barr’s, WDs, Juju’s and Zebras have been working well. Cover water until you find the fish feeding on the baetis.

Streamers are slowing down a bit with the lower water temps but are still productive if you are covering water. Flows are low so running a very light sink tip will get the job done in most areas though you may need something a bit heavier to hit the deeper runs.

Stop in the shop and we can pick you out the best selection of flies and streamers for you day.  Any questions? Give us a call. 435-885-3355
