Warm up is on it’s way

Updated 2-19-20

The average daily flows are planned to be sustained at 2,150 cfs until the beginning of March 2020. We are starting to see some strong midge hatches on all sections and some fish are keying into some of the sporadic BWO hatches that we are starting to see as well. Streamer fishing is still prime!

Dry flies:     Midge are starting to come off thick on our warmer days with pods of fish keyed in on them. Look for riffles and tailouts with slow side water and you should find some heads up. We are getting some early BWO’s on all sections as well with fish on A taking adults.

Nymphing:  Midge and baetis are key. Small zebras, bling, juju midge, PT’s, Barr’s BWO, and Radiation baetis, are getting eats.

Streamers: Streamers are the on fire right now. Smaller guys have been working well for us. Gold, white and black have been our hot colors.

Stop in the shop and we can pick you out the best selection of flies and streamers for you day.  Any questions? Give us a call. 435-885-3355
