Peak time for streamers is now

Green River Fishing Report 1/14/21

Winter flows are here, it will be low and slow, with evening bumps for power and water needs. Nymphing and streamers are the way to go, but you could make a day out of throwing dries – with some patience.

Dry flies:

There are a few midge and blue wings coming off in select areas on some days. Dry’s are still slow right now but can pick you up some fish if you put in the time.

Nymphing is hot right now. Scuds, worms, small mayfly’s, and midge nymphs.

It’s streamer time. We have been having some amazing days slinging bigger articulated ones. Natural colors have been best for us, grey, tan, black and white. Fish some of the deeper runs below riffles to find some better fish.

Stop in the shop and we can pick you out the best selection of flies and streamers for you day.  Any questions? Give us a call. 435-885-3355
