Cool temps and good flow

Green River Fishing Report 9/1/2020

Flows from the dam will be dropping a little bit over the next few days to a daily average of 1600 CFS by 9/7, water temps are good. Update 9/11: Red Creek is blown out.

All river access is open.

Ashley Nation Forest has no closures due to COVID-19

All campgrounds are open.

Fires are restricted to designated campsite with fire rings only. Fire danger is high we are asking all of our visitors to be extremely cautious with anything that involves a open flame or sparks and only have a fire in designated areas if deemed necessary.

Dry flies:    

We are mainly fishing terrestrials on the surface as we roll into hopper season. There are still some caddis around as well as a few PMD’s.

Nymphing: 

Scuds, worms, small mayfly’s, and caddis nymphs.

Streamers: 

We are starting to have some good mornings and evenings on streamers. It will continue to pick up as we move into fall.
